
About the Role
Overview
A leading national title platform is expanding its commercial operations and is seeking an experienced National Commercial Title Officer to support complex, high-value transactions across multiple states.
This is a senior, highly visible role working closely with commercial sales, underwriting, and operations to ensure deals move efficiently while maintaining strong risk discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Examine, analyze, and clear complex commercial title matters across multiple jurisdictions
Provide guidance on title issues including easements, encumbrances, surveys, liens, and legal descriptions
Support underwriting decisions and assist in resolving high-level title objections and curative issues
Act as a senior escalation point for complex or time-sensitive commercial files
Partner closely with commercial sales teams to enable deal flow while managing risk
Review and advise on commitments, proformas, endorsements, and policy language
Maintain compliance with state-specific regulations and best practices
Contribute to process improvements and consistency across national commercial operations
Required Experience
Extensive experience in commercial title examination and/or title officer functions
Strong multi-state commercial transaction exposure
Proven ability to handle complex, high-dollar commercial deals
Deep understanding of underwriting standards and commercial title risk
Experience working collaboratively with sales, underwriting, and legal teams
Preferred Background
Prior experience in a national or multi-state commercial title environment
Title attorney background or JD welcomed but not required
Experience acting as a senior authority or escalation point on commercial files
Comfortable supporting fast-paced, transaction-driven environments
